Scrapping for a good cause!!

I am in full speed right now completing the amazing challenges coming every 2 hours at The Studio for the Charity Extravaganza event!!

This layout is for the Anne Jo Lexander challenge where we had to make a layout with some hidden journaling! This is Elena, my friend's Effie's super cute daughter! I have used my September Girls loft kit and some piecies from my stash!!

This layout was made for Amanda Jones Challenge where we had to scrap vintage!

My journaling is left blank fro Effie to write anything she wants. I have used Prima papers and flowers and pink paislee letters.

And for the challenge by Stephanie Howell, we had to use scallops, scallops and scallops!! My whole project was made by a kit a dag out from last summer!! lol!! And I don't even remember from where I got it!! Papers are from Bella Boulevard and October Afternoon and Crate Paper.

Time to make a difference!

Firstly, let me introduce you to Cathy Zielske. You have probably already met her. I’m a regular reader of her blog, and recently she made a great choice. She decided to use her online voice to reach the thousands of scrapbookers who frequent her website and started this pretty cool campaign: Scrapbookers for clean water. Her campaign supports a charity with a simple but important goal.

Starting at 7pm (GMT) on Friday 13th November we will be hosting a BIG scrapbooking event. It will last for 48 hours and there will be games, challenges, special guests and PRIZES! A new challenge will be posted every 2 hours for the whole weekend! It wouldn’t be much of an event without a grand finale and we certainly have one of those lined up. Cathy Z herself will be setting the final challenge and I, for one, am pretty excited about that.

At the end of this post is a list of our generous sponsors so far. There will be a prize for each and every challenge we post over the weekend and a prize for the overall winner of the event.

Now you’re paying attention, here’s what you need to do to play:

1. To sign up for the event click here. You need to register and then join the Charity: water event to start the ball rolling. If you’re playing for fun, that’s all you need to do.

2. If you want to be in to win the prizes you need to make a donation. Whatever you can spare. We aren’t into pressure. There are 2 ways to donate, here on Cathy’s page OR here to our charity: water Paypal address. If you donate directly to Cathy’s page you MUST enter the following into the comments box: “My donation for thestudio.scrapbook-101.com charity: extravaganza” so that we know you’ve donated and can include you in the prize drawings.

3. Once you’re signed up and have made your donation leave a comment on the wall in the event area letting us know that you’re ready to play! If you are unable to donate we’d love to have you play along anyway but, sorry, the prizes will be off limits! There is a chat group set up here for you to start getting to know your fellow players!

4. Sit back and watch the fun unfold. We will be having prize giveaways leading up to the event and then the real excitement begins at 7pm (GMT) on 13th November! It’s going to be fabulous!

Team Edward -
If you choose to be a Vampire girl than you will need to completly dazzle me. As a Vampire, Edward's skin sparkles in the sunlight. Yes, real men sparkle! So, dig out your bling-bling and use it!
Don't stop there! If you chose Edward you also need to use the colors Black and Red. It doesn't have to be all black and red. Just as long as there is some black and red on your paper creation (even in the tiniest bit) then you are all good to go!

Team Jacob -
Prefer half-naked guys instead? If you choose to run with the Wolves then you will need to include a heart because Jacob has one.
You will also need to use the colors brown and white

And here is my take, of course on Team EDWARD!!

I was inspired by the word dazzle (how obvious!!) on the description of the challenge and wanted to make this word the center of attention, so I made a Bedazzled card written with glittery letters, and gave it a vintage hollywood-sign look like the charm of the vampires!

Creative Scrappers blog challenge

While on my cruise in Mexico I was thrilled to find out that I have been picked to be in the DT of Creative Scrappers, my first ever sketch blog DT spot!!! I was super excited since I love to use sketches to jump start my creations!!!

My layout is with one of my ever favorite photos of one of my best friends Gina and my Godson George in the day of his Christening.

I have used one of the Heidi Swapp invisibles papers which I masked and painted with acrylics, then did some embellishmnent layering and left the journaling spots blanc for Gina to write her own words!
 

Cosy home.... Gingersnaps challenge

I have made some wall art for John's new house for this winter that features our pics!! But guess what? We moved in together so it is perfect for our new apartment and first ever moving out from my parents house!!! Isn't it funny??

I think our heads in those graphic 45 papers are sooooo funny!!!

I am super excited since it is my first challenge as a DT for the Butterfly crafts blog and it has been a very funny one!!

What is the topic?

If you could be any character in any TV show or film, who would you be and why? Would you choose someone who's character you relate to or someone who is a total opposite to yourself?

Which character have I chosen?? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!

I love his naïve nature and fun way of living, plus my boyfriend kind of reminds me Squidward!! lol

Big Ego Challenge at the Candy Shoppe

Have you heard the new song by Beyonce... Big Ego??? That is our inspiration for this month's challenge at the Candy Shoppe!!

What do you have to do in order to win a fantastic prize? Go here, be a sweetheart and rawk this challegne!!

You have to make a Paper Creation be about YOURSELF. Give it a TITLE that exudes CONFIDENCE. It can be a Quote if you wish.  There are no other RULES to this Challenge other than the fact that you will have to incorporate a number of different icons (Photobucket.com is a great place to start searching for icons). Just have fun with it and shows what you’ve got!!

Yes, this is what I wanna do… I wanna rawk everybody’s world, with my mind, my presence, my humor, my scrapbooking!! I picked funny icons in black and white to show that I am too sexy even for his squarepants!!

Thankfulness at Gingersnaps

What are you thankful for today? Me... being with my cats and relax with them!! lol !!!

A new challenge is on at Gingersnaps where you have to create anything artsy that shows what you are thankful for. Once more the DT has done some beautiful pieces of art, those ladies sure can stamp!!!

What the f@#$%??? A chance to really challenge yourselves!

The new challenge is up and running for us Lollipop girls at the Candy Shoppe. And this time you really have to think out of the box to keep up with it!!

WTF! OMG! We're all a little guilty and have let it slip, most of the time without even realizing it. So what's wrong with putting it down on paper? Nothing! Bad words exist.

You DO need to include at least 1 curse word at your paper creation but watch it! We don’t want anyone offended here!! Can you pull it off???

So...

I maybe a cat lover but I do have a super cute female dog… hence the title!!! I think this challenge is hilarious and made me really try to think out of the box! And boy, did I have some ideas(they don’t call me sourpuss for nothing.. wink wink). So I took a craft cardstock, embellished it with stickles and made a tag out of journaling paper and suede cords behind it. The bone is made out of copper wire and the heart is hand-cut by me and inked!
